Steak with Chimichurri Sauce
Chummichurri is a small part of the vast Argentinian cuisine. This simple sauce recipe can transform any steak into a fresh, zesty treat. Perfect for tacos or sliced on top of rice.

Ingredients

  • (1 cup) parsley leaves stems removed
  • (1 tablespoon) fresh orengano leaves stems removed
  • (4-5) garlic cloves
  • (2 teaspoons) red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • (1/4 cup) red wine vinegar
  • (1) small shallot cut into wedges
  • (1/2 cup) olive oil
  • Steak - Flat iron steak or Sirloin

Directions

  1. Place garlic, shallot, parsley, oregano, salt and pepper into small food processor.
  2. Blend until well chopped but still slightly chunky. Add red pepper flakes and red wine vinegar. Pulse about 3-4 times.
  3. Next, while the food processor is running slowly, add your olive oil in a steady stream until all oil is incorporated.
  4. Place sauce in airtight container and store overnight to develop flavor.
  5. Sauce will last up to 3 days in the fridge
  6. Serve sauce on top of your grilled steak.
